What is The Precision Time
System?
What is The
Precision Time System? It is a small computer that is connected
to the arena or stadium game clock, that allows the on court or on field
Officials to start or stop the game clock. This is done at the speed of light
(186,000 miles per second). The Officials whistle stops the clock, and the
switch on the belt pack starts the clock.
What happens without the
Precision Time System? The Official blows the whistle, the Clock
Operator then pushes a button to stop the clock. Also if the game Clock
Operator can not see the game Official signal to start the Game Clock it does
not get started at the proper time. Then it's too late! It should not
have happened!

How many games are won and lost in
the last minute or second?
TOO MANY ... Heres an example..."The
1998 NCAA Womens Tournament" U.C.L.A. plays at Alabama: A one point game,
Alabama has the ball out of bounds with 8 tenths of a second on the Game Clock.
The Game Clock Operator starts the Game Clock late. U.C.L.A. lost a game that
they should have won. They did not advance to the next round. They also lost a
large sum of money that the University and Conference would have received had
they won!!!
Now it can't ever happen again using,
The Precision Time Systems ®.
